2009 INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD

Springfree™ Trampoline received one of the highest accolades in design excellence at the 2009 International Design Awards Gala Event held in Melbourne, Australia. Winning the Design Award in the Sport & Leisure category, this award reflects the innovative and revolutionary design that is the Springfree™ Trampoline – the world’s safest trampoline.

The International Design Awards, a division of Standards Australia, is recognised by the Commonwealth Government and the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design, as a peak design assessment and promotion body, and for its important role in fostering a culture of design and innovation internationally.

The Award nominees for the International Design Awards go through thorough testing and assessment by international design experts in determining their award winners. The judges spend a week scrutinising all entries against rigorous criteria including innovation, visual/emotional appeal, functionality, quality and manufacture, ergonomics and safety, environmental sustainability and presentation.

The Springfree™ Trampoline’s design process spanned 14 years, and incorporated millions of dollars in research and testing before the product was ready for sale to the public. What was delivered was the world’s safest trampoline through a unique design removing all impact zones associated with traditional “old-style” trampolines.

Springfree™ Trampoline boasts a number of key features that attributes to the innovative design. It replaces traditional steel springs with a revolutionary flexible fibreglass rod system, has removed the hard edges and need for additional padding through its engineered SoftEdge™ Mat and has a unique FlexiNet™ jumper catching system, which flexes to absorb the impact of wayward jumpers, returning them gently to the centre of the mat.
